🥣 Makhana Suji Mix Upma – Recipe
🛒 Ingredients:
- 1 cup makhana (fox nuts)
- ½ cup suji (rava)
- 2 tbsp oil / ghee
- 1 tsp mustard seeds (rai)
- 1 tsp urad dal
- 1 tsp chana dal
- 8–10 curry leaves
- 1 chopped onion
- 1–2 green chilli (finely chopped)
- ½ cup mixed veggies (carrot, peas, capsicum)
- Salt as per taste
- ½ tsp turmeric
- 1½ cup water
- Fresh coriander + lemon juice (for garnish)
👨🍳 Method:
1. Makhana roast karo
Pan ma makhana ne halka ghee ma roast karo (crispy thai jai), pachhi thodu crush kari lo (half powder, half whole rakho).
2. Suji roast karo
Same pan ma suji ne halka golden sudhi dry roast kari lo.
3. Tadka banavo
Oil/ghee garam karo → mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal add karo → pachhi curry leaves, chilli ane onion add kari sauté karo.
4. Veggies add karo
Carrot, peas vagere add kari ne 2–3 min cook karo.
5. Water add karo
Salt + turmeric add kari ne pani ubo thava do.
6. Mix karo
Slowly suji add karo (lumps na pade) → pachhi makhana add kari ne mix karo.
7. Cook karo
Low flame par 3–4 min sudhi cook karo.
8. Garnish
Coriander + lemon juice add karo.
